"He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power." –2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 “Then He will say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!’” -Matthew 25:41 Protest #1
HOW CAN GOD PUNISH ME INFINITELY FOR FINITE CRIMES?
Hell is not an instance of God’s ultimate unfairness. Just the opposite…it is the final monument to God’s fairness…God would rather oer us grace. If we refuse it, then He oers us justice.
Protest #2
WHY DOESN’T GOD GIVE ME A SECOND CHANCE?
Two types of people: those who say to God, “your will be done.” Or those to whom God ultimately says, “your will be done.” -C.S. Lewis
Protest #3WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT JESUS?
Simply because the concept of Hell is hard to understand or too uncomfortable, doesn’t mean that it isn’t true.
